Hou Yi Shoots the Suns
远古十日并出，草木焦枯，民不聊生。善射的后羿挽弓射落九日，只留一日照耀人间。人们得以耕作生息，后羿成为除害英雄。传说后来与嫦娥奔月等故事交织，成为中国神话的重要线索。
In high antiquity ten suns rose together, scorching plants and making life unbearable. The archer Hou Yi shot down nine, leaving one sun for the world. People could farm again, and Hou Yi became a hero who removed catastrophe. Later legends intertwine him with Chang’e and the moon—key threads in Chinese myth.
十日炙烤，后羿射日是为众人求生的技艺，不是表演。英雄路径上可与大禹、精卫并读：技艺、公共工程、不屈之悼——三种意志。
