The Frog in the Well
井蛙不可以语于海者，拘于虚也；夏虫不可以语于冰者，笃于时也。
The frog in the well cannot be spoken with about the sea, for it is bound by the limits of the well; the summer insect cannot be spoken with about ice, for it is bound by the limits of the season.
人的见识受环境限制，应跳出舒适区开阔视野。
A persons understanding is limited by their environment. One should step out of the comfort zone to broaden their horizons.
After the moral, ask one question: if a similar choice showed up today, where does the story snag? Name that tension first—then take your own step. You need not copy the ancients, only borrow their clarity.
