Deer Enclosure (Lu Zhai)

空山不见人
但闻人语响
返景入深林
复照青苔上
kōng shān bù jiàn rén
dàn wén rén yǔ xiǎng
fǎn jǐng rù shēn lín
fù zhào qīng tái shàng
空山不见人，只听见说话声；夕阳返照进深林，又照在青苔上。
An empty mountain with voices; evening light returns to moss in the deep forest.
王维《鹿柴》：空山不见人——但闻人语响；返景入深林。以听与光写空。禅诗入门。空不是无，是听见与看见的另一种满。今日：看不见人时，声音与斜光仍证明世界在。
